Challenge
Teams of one to two are challenged to develop new on-campus music services to be integrated into Melomics@life, either the web version or the application for Android devices. @life makes use of Infinitunes (Melomics' music repository) to stream music adapted to any scenario of daily life. For example, if you activate the 'car scenario' in your smartphone while driving, the playlist will consider your average speed, playing relaxing songs while in dense traffic, and more upbeat tunes when you’re zooming on the highway. But, let's focus on University life. You know your campus, the needs of students, professors and the staff working and living there. Think of new applications that merge information from sites like FB, Twitter or Foursquare, and create with them useful music services to your community. Exclusive access to Melomics' APIs will be available for competing teams, giving access to playlists, players, sensors, etc. Online technical support will also be provided during the hackathon, that's all you need to integrate a killer scenario in a record time. Nexus 10 and Nexus 7 tablets will award the best projects, plus a contract with Melomics Media to jointly integrate the winning scenarios into @life.
Let’s make the campus rock!
